Baseline – a platform for a fully scalable infrastructure

Through our packaged systems integration solutions, we help our customers create a stable, scalable architecture for all types of electronic data exchange. Our Baseline concept allows us to create a complete systems communication structure both within the company and toward external business partners. Baseline is a best practice for effective utilisation of an integration platform and is designed for the use of standard products in the form of integration software from IBM.

The traditional way of integrating information systems oftentimes entails direct connections between specific systems in a point-to-point architecture. Not only is this solution expensive to maintain and develop, it also creates unnecessary people dependency due to the many special solutions stemming from in-house designed integrations. In more complex contexts with a greater number of connections, the integrations often become impossible to get a grip on and are therefore extremely difficult to administer.

Baseline defines a uniform structure for all communication between the different information systems. The central integration platform is responsible for forwarding and, when relevant, converting data. Each system has only one connection to the platform which in turn is responsible for ensuring the data reaches the other systems correctly. New information systems are easily integrated in the existing infrastructure, making Baseline and affiliated software a very flexible solution even for future needs.
